Mighty Homunculi!
first the bad news. sadly, we are losing our fearless leader and captain (oh captain my captain) Christopher Rasputin Fetsch to the soggy lands of the great northwest (seattle). in his leave, he has graced current "team mom" Alexis Ethel Webb and myself to be Co-Captains for the start of the '10 season! Sadly though, Lex will be leaving us for greener pastures across the pond halfway thru the season, leaving us "mom-less" unless Abigail B Vanderheyden can step up her game and take the reigns as "team mom" (for now we will just call her "team mom in training".
On a brighter note... it is that time of year again! softball begins the week of april 19th. i am sending this email for 3 reasons... 1) to verify that you will be able to play this year again! 2) to assess interest in having some "informal" practices in the coming weeks to prepare for the season and 3) to assess interest in having a "preseason BBQ and Softball scrimmage" with the folks over at Booyah.
please let me know in the coming days how you feel about this
again, the parks department will be assessing us a (i believe) 100$ fee for use of the fields, so we will need to do a collection depending on how many people we get this year to help pay for the field fee.
the schedules for the spring season have not been posted yet, but i will update you all as soon as i know more.
